- The State of New York provides cash incentives which can reduce the cost to install a Solar PV
system by as much as 75%. These incentives are separated into three groups: Residential, Commercial
and Schools, Non-profits and Municipalities – The latter group receiving the heaviest cash rebate
after installing a Solar electric system.
- Those who install a Solar Electric, Hot Water or Space Heating system in New York State will
receive a tax credit based upon the total cost of installation.
- Customers of New York’s investor owned utilities who have installed a Solar Electric system are
also eligible for a rebate when their system generates electricity for the utility to absorb and
redistribute.
- Several energy programs sponsored by New York State provide rebates covering
50% to 75% of incremental
costs, financing, mortgages and loans with reduced APR, and for commercial projects significant reduction
of consulting, development and production costs.
Federal
Clients who install a Solar Electric, Hot Water or Space Heating system in New York State will receive a significant tax credit* based upon the total cost of installation. *There are no caps on these credits for businesses.
